About time I get a hold of computer and Broadband internet suffucient enough to keep Blogger afloat, Hola! from the Philippines.
15 days to go, can you believe I'm kinda dreading the days? I mean, who has enough time to blog while they're on vacation? tada! Hopefully that changes, I mean, it;s only been like 5 days or 4, which reminds how I totally lost and don't keep track of time around here, cause the thing is, it's hot no matter what time it is, LOL. I would honestly keep the AC running for the entire day if I could, but it's already bad enough being the cousin from Canada, people offering me thier manual fans wherever I go <3
I've spent the past few days in malls, seafood places, and of course, family. I haven't seen most of my family members here for about 6 years now, and really, it's hard to ponder the fact about how much older we've gotten, yet everyone looks the same. On that note, all of them disapproved of my fohawk, apparently it's emo, seriously lawled when I heard that, what do they know though, gotta keep my steeze I guess, just kidding. haha! But really, it was nice to know I still have family somehwere cause I haven't really had much sense towards them as I grew into my teenage years. It's relieveing I have blood relatives to share all the stories I can't with my older family and parents
.
It's amazing how cheap everything is here though, not as cheap as I thought, cause apparently the Philippines is in a state of economic depression, but I mean, 2 dollars for a meal, 5 dollars on a t-shirt, pocket change for drinks, can I really complain? It's also dope how salespeople swarm you once they catch you looking through the racks, I mean, all I really have to say is what color and size im looking for, then viola, 2 or 3 options are presented right then and there in front of me, no work on my part really :)
But really, I miss Vancouver and the rest of North America and it's culture. I could get used to my uncle drunk driving without seatbelts on, but not when he's driving on the opposite side of the road while blaring his horn, with a car going straight towards him, and yes, it's legal. Oh, the beauty of culture shock, I never thought I'd be a victim.
And that's about it really, and no, I haven't gotten anyone pregnant, or met the Wowowee girls. McDonalds serves rice here, so coool :)
